This program will present to youth how to honor and how to obey God, their loving heavenly Father, and how to get along with one another.
Supplements for teachers to study and to present:
Enjoy story time with youth. Read 4 chapters of Exodus each time you meet. Older youth: read the 4 chapters with a buddy.
Encourage youth to read Deuteronomy.
Supplies for each youth to make his/her own Ten Commandments’ poster.
On the front they place the Ten Commandments. On the back they write why and how they should obey the Ten Commandments.

- Gather students to the sound of a ram’s horn. Read Exodus 19:10-13
- Hot Potato Game: Twenty balls total, write the nine plagues on a ball, other balls are blank, raise and move a paper cloud for balls to move, then stop the cloud and balls stop. If a student is holding a ball the plagues, he/she goes to the center of the circle.
- Arm wrestling: The LORD brought the Israelites out with His mighty hand.
- Tug of war: LORD pulls His people out of Egypt.
- Armor of God: Ephesians 6:13-17 Act out putting on the Armor of God
- Before reading the Bible, pretend your Bible is glued shut. Pray for God to speak to you through His Word, and then the Bible opens easily.
- Students lie on floor, pretend to be asleep. Tell them God is always watching over them. He always wants to spend time with them. The first thing to do when they awaken is say, “Good morning, LORD!” Have prayer time and Bible reading time.
- Large JESUS sign: let a leader hold the sign and everyone follows and does what Jesus does. Leader smiles, squats, opens his Bible, prays, sings unto the LORD, jumps
- When you have a problem: RUN TO JESUS FIRST. Play run to Jesus: Students seated, shout you have a problem, then students run in place because Jesus is always with them...they don’t need to run to a place.

Dear Parents,
Do you want the best for your child? Surrender your life to God, honor Him, live a holy life unto the LORD before your children. Fear the living God. Plan daily Bible and prayer time with your children. Teach your children to ask God to go before them every day. By teaching your children about the Bible, prayer and salvation, it will be God’s voice in their heads when they make choices that will bring blessing or discipline. We need God’s blessing and we need God’s discipline. It’s healthy to be obedient to God. Obedience brings joy and peace.
A complete education includes studying and meditating on the words of the Bible.
Activities to do at home:
Family devotions
Parents, pray daily for your children. Let them hear your prayers for them. Pray with them for them to obey the plans God has for them. Pray for their future with them. (Where they will go to college, who they will marry, where they will go to church, which job is best for God’s plan to be fulfilled.
Parents, we honor God, humble before Him so our children see a role model and who puts God first.
May children listen to God when they make choices.
Teach children how to share their allowance with God.
As children read the Bible, watch for the word commands.
Geography - What is God doing in the world?
Container on dinner table to hold giant craft sticks with Biblical character information for review.
Memorize books of the Bible
Learn a weekly Bible memory verse.
List ways to serve others.

Moses wrote: “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good. Deuteronomy 10:12-13.
Obeying God’s commandments is putting into practice the love of God.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3
From the beginning God has loved us. He loved us so much that when sin entered the world, He was willing to give His one and only Son to pay the price for our sins so that we may have eternal life, be in heaven with God.
What is sin? Acts, things done that do not show God’s love. Sin separates us from God. We must ask Him to forgive us for our sin each day.
God speaks to us through the Bible, through prayer and through His servants.
He has given us the Ten Commandments so we will know specifically how to obey Him. When we disobey the Ten Commandments, we are disobeying God. That is sin and we must be disciplined, punished because God loves us AND WANTS US TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
